 Callari Auto Group - Premier Auto Sponsor of the 2010 Fairfield County Concours d’Elegance
The Fairfield County Concours d’Elegance presents more than 100 years of significant motor vehicles in chronological order on the lawn at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport, CT on September 11-12, 2010. This will be Callari Auto Group’s second year as a Premier Auto Sponsor. In 2009, the Concours’ coveted Sharing the Passion Award was presented to Flavia and Paula in memory of their father Felix Callari, for his many contributions to the communities in which CAG operates.
For 2010, Saturday will be the Concours Car & Motor Cycle Club day with numerous auto and motorcycle clubs participating. Among them are Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Aston-Martin, Morgan, Connecticut Woodies and others. There will be seminars of interest to both enthusiastic vehicle collectors and anyone who is just interested in motor vehicles. For the first time, the Concours has partnered with Bonhams to present a Classic Auction on Sunday. 
On Saturday, the memorabilia and vehicles available for auction will be open for inspection. Anyone interested in participating in the Auction should contact Bonhams directly.
Saturday evening, our Nutmeg Tour for Autism will return from its drive through Fairfield County to the Toast the Tour Fundraising Reception at the Hunt Club at 4PM. Proceeds from the reception benefit The Drive to Treat Autism Fund, supporting diagnostic and treatment services for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Tickets for the reception are available online at www.fairfieldcountyconcours.com. At 6pm following that reception will be the Bonhams Auction Reception and Preview Party – ticket for that are available directly from Bonhams.
Also on Saturday will be Arts & Automobilia displays, all of the sponsor’s displays and the featured artist, world renowned photographer Jesse Alexander.
Sunday is Concours day with more than 200 classic autos and motorcycles arrayed on the lawn. 2010 Featured Judging Classes are Bugatti (celebrating 100 years), Porsche, and Hot Rods & Customs of the 50’s and Barn Finds. Special exhibits include the marvelous coachwork of Howard “Dutch” Darrin, “Styled by the Wind” – a celebration of pre-war automotive aerodynamics, and the 24 Hours of LeMans racing. Art & Automobilia featured Artist and numerous special activities for kids are also available on Sunday. The Bonhams Auction begins at 10am with Memorabilia and continues at 1PM with vehicles. The Concours awards ceremony begins at 2PM with the drive-up awards for the top winners beginning at approximately 2:30PM. It culminates with the Grand Prix d’Honneur – Foreign and Domestic Award.
